My dad is in England and we decided to make an English omelette. So my mom and I looked on the computer to see what an English omelette has in it.
This is what an English omelette has in it: Green onions (we did not have these, so we used garlic chives from the garden), mushrooms (we sauteed our mushrooms because Gramma B wanted to), asparagus (we only had canned asparagus, but it was still good), green peas (we meant to put these in but we forgot).
Gramma B taught me how to crack an egg with a knife instead of on a table or counter. I got good at it, and so I used it a lot. Gramma B named the omelette because Daddy wasn't here to name it. She called it the Jolly Good Omelette.

Gramma B showed me how to scoop out the insides of the egg shells to get the rest of the egg white out of the shell. That's the way her mother did it. |
