Daddy's Favorite

Here's what went into today's omelette.
Mom suggested the green olives and even though I didn't
want to put them in at first, I'm glad we did because it was
DELICIOUS!

After I cut up the red onion, Mom sauteed it in a pan.

I'm getting good at cracking eggs.

This time I tried mixing my herbs into the eggs.
It didn't really make very much difference in the taste.

I'm cutting up the green olives.

I cut up two small tomatoes and Mom got rid of their seeds for me.

Toast and stawberry jam.

Our finished omelette. Daddy called this one "My Favorite Omelette"
because it had so many good ingredients. The cheese was melty and
salty inside the omelette. Mmmmm.

Monday Evening Omelette

We called this the Monday Evening Omelette because Daddy wasn't here and it was Monday and we were having it for dinner.

Mom already made dinner but it was disgusting--she thought so, too--so we decided to make an omelette because I'm a great omelette chef. About her dinner, Mom said, "Even good chefs mess up a meal every now and then." The pork chops were too chewy to eat. We used the salad Mom made for our dinner; it was good in the omelette but it was bad by itself because it had too much vinegar in the salad dressing.

This is the mixture of my omelette. All the green stuff is parsley and chives. Mmmm.

The silver blur in the middle of the picture is me whisking the eggs with a fork.

This is the salad that we added to our omelette.

I cut the cheese and put it into a grater.

The bread is the best part. The cheese is, too.

I am pouring the eggs into the pan now. The eggs are in mid-air.

This omelette smelled like hot, melting cheese.

Those two pieces of bread that are sticking out of the omelette look like
a leg and an arm.
 '
The omelette was fantastic. Ollie was too busy watching TV to eat it.
Besides, he ate all his soup and my soup too from the dinner Mommy made.
I LOVE THESE PICTURES!

Mother's Day Omelette

Today is Mother's Day. Mommy stayed in bed with a cup of tea and her book while Dad, Ollie, and I made omelettes for breakfast.

It's raining this morning. Here I am going out to the back yard for chives.

Me, picking the chives.

I cut up the chives for the omelette. Chives go really good with eggs.

Adding chives.

Adding mushrooms.

Getting ready to take the tray up to Mommy. We also gave her bananas and
apples with yogurt on top.

Happy Mother's Day, Mommy!

We fooled Mommy and told her -- after she had already eaten
her omelette -- that we put a special ingredient in the omelette.
Then Daddy showed her this picture! She didn't believe us!

Mediterranean Masterpiece

This omelette has mushrooms, eggplant, onion, and zucchini in it.
And feta cheese. And eggs. Daddy called this one "Mediterranean Masterpiece."
He said the flavors went well together, even though he's not a fan of eggplant.
But he always eats my omelettes, even if he doesn't like them that much.

We sauteed all the veggies in Mommy's cast iron skillet.

The veggies plus the feta cheese went into one big omelette that we cut up
and shared. Daddy got the biggest piece, Mommy and I got the  same sized
pieces and Ollie got the piece that fell apart.

Mommy's omelette.

I'm spreading strawberry jam on Ollie's toast.
